Attempts are being made to spark controversies on the basis of languages - PM Modi
PM Narendra Modi today spoke about the ongoing allegation by opposition parties against PM Modi led union government on prioritizing Hindi and supressing regional language.
Speaking in a virtual meeting addressing senior BJP leaders, including national office-bearers, state party chiefs, and organisational secretaries PM Modi said, "In past few days, we have seen that attempts are being made to spark controversies on the basis of languages. BJP sees a reflection of Indian culture in every regional language & considers them worth worshipping. We have given importance to every regional language in NEP".
“Some political parties, for their self-interest, are trying to poison the country and provoke people by using small incidents, tensions or weaknesses… They use such incidents to deliberately poison the society on the basis of caste and region,” PM Modi told.
Modi said the opposition will try to “divert the country’s attention from the core issues of development” but the BJP and its functionaries “have to stick to them”.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan talking on NEP said, We consider all Indian languages to be the soul of Indianness & a link to a better future for our country. Gratitude to PM Modi ji for his commitment to prioritise all Indian languages & cherish & celebrate our vibrant linguistic traditions.
